Visitors throng City IT Mega Fair on its 2nd day

Staff Repoter ::  The City IT Mega Fair 2022 in the capital drew a huge number of visitors on Friday, the second day of the 10-day-long event, as it was a public holiday. Visitors of different strata started to throng the IDB Bhaban premises in the morning to explore the newest computers and laptops of renowned brands and the latest IT technologies. The gathering of various types of buyers and visitors started increasing that afternoon. A mentionable number of students were also present at the fair. They also tried to get all the relevant information on what new additions to IT products were introduced during their visit to the fair before purchasing their necessary devices.

One of them is Tahmina Akter. She comes from Mirpur to purchase a laptop for her official work. Before buying, she roamed around all the pavilions and stalls installed at the fair and searched for new tech products that matched her budget and expectations.

Another visitor named Masum Zaman said that he came to buy a gaming PC. To play games uninterruptedly, he needs a highly configured computer. As he is not bothering about the budget, he is in search of necessary services for the gaming computer.

Shiuli Sarkar, a private university student, came to buy a laptop. She said I was planning to buy a laptop from IDB in the next couple of weeks. She said, “A few days ago, I was looking on Facebook and online and saw that there would be a computer and laptop fair at IDB. Even then, I decided to buy a laptop from the fair as the brands offered some waivers and discounts there.”

On Thursday, the country’s largest computer and laptop fair, titled ‘City IT Mega Fair 2022’, was started at BCS Computer City (IDB). Mr. Mustafa Jabbar, Minister of Posts, Telecommunications, and Information Technology, launched the 10-day-long fair Thursday at BCS Computer City in IDB Bhaban, Agargaon. This year’s fair will continue until 07 Jaunary 2023 with the slogan ‘Reach the pinnacle of excellence with the technology ladder’ (Projuktir Suwpane Uttkorsher Shirshe).

Organizers of this year’s fair informed that at least six pavilions had been installed by the sponsors (Asus, Dell, Gigabyte, HP, Lenovo, and Logitech) of the fair. In addition to sponsor companies, internet provider Stargate Communication Limited, security surveillance brand Seemo, consultancy firm AHZ Associate, and Bangladesh Telephone Shilpa Sangstha’s Doel Laptop are participating in the fair. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience a gaming competition offered by MSI, an art competition by XP-pen, and a photography competition by Tenda Router.

Keeping ‘Metrorail Er Gotite Kenakata Hobe Turite’ in mind, the organizers have announced attractive prizes and discounts on specific products purchased by customers during the fair. Besides, there is a chance for visitors to win attractive prizes through a raffle draw. The ‘City IT Mega Fair 2022’ started on Thursday and will be open for visitors from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day.

On the occasion of the country’s largest computer and laptop fair, titled ‘City IT Mega Fair 2022’, buyers will get various offers and discounts throughout the market. Meanwhile, sponsor organizations are also offering additional paybacks to the buyers. All measures have been taken to make the 10-day-long event a success. Furthermore, the organizers prioritized the needs of the students. Apart from this, buyers and visitors also have the chance of participating in a gaming competition, a best PC builder competition, a raffle draw, and others.
