Staff Repoter :: BASIS will promote the innovations and turn into hub of young entrepreneurs if the Team Durjoy gets mandate from the member, an industry insider opined.

BASIS or Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services will host biennial election (2018-20 session) on March 31 where some 40 candidates contesting for nine positions from three panels.

Solutions Nine Managing Director Shohibur Rahman Khan Rana, a young business tycoon is contesting in the election as a member of Team Durjoy led by Flora Telecom Managing Director Mustafa Rafiqul Islam Duke.

Regarding the candidacy, Shohibur Rahman said, “I am associated with tech industry for the last nine years. We started as a completely new entrepreneur. At BASIS, we have opportunity to support the innovations by the youth who will lead the future of the country. So we give priority in entrepreneurship,”

Emplacing the election manifesto, he said, we are emphasizing on two issues including – initiating software marketing agencies in the country and making access to finance easier for the entrepreneurs.

“And make easy access to finance for small and medium sized businesses. In that case, the BASIS will give specific certificates to such organizations. And through that they can deal with different organizations for money transactions,”

Shohibur Rahman thinks the young entrepreneurs are the most important in the IT industry. They know about their problems and know about the problems of others.

“So, we want to help each other in the development of ICT industry. For this reason our panel also has senior seniors. They give us directions. So we’ll be on the right track,”.

The panel-led by Flora Telecom’s Managing Director Mustafa Rafiqul Islam Duke consists of Atom AP Managing DirectorA hmedul Islam Babu, Allien Technologies Managing Director Muhammed Amin Ullah, Solution9 Managing Director Shohibur Rahman Khan Rana, Kazi Zahidul Alam of Starhost, Spinoff Studio founder Asaduzzaman, Chaldal founder Zia Ashraf, Raise IT’s Rashedul Mazid and Zaman Khan of Zaman IT.
