ClassTune Celebrating World Teachers’ Day

 

Staff Repoter :: Recognized by UNESCO, World Teachers’ Day has been celebrated worldwide on the 5th of October every year since 1994 to recognize the contribution of teachers in creating a better tomorrow. This year ClassTune, a leading learning management system (LMS) of Bangladesh, has taken the initiative to celebrate World Teachers’ Day nationwide. Their initiative to pay respect to the teachers of Bangladesh called ‘Saluting the Nation Builders’, will be continuing throughout the month of October with various arrangements.

On this Tuesday, 5th October, ClassTune kick-started their month-long campaign by visiting schools and handing over gift hampers along with flowers to school staff and teachers. Within their limited capacity, they presented gift hampers to more than 100 teachers as a symbol of respect and gratitude on this day. ClassTune, called upon the whole nation to share memories of their favorite teachers via sending write-ups, out of which selective ones were posted on Class Tune’s Facebook page. These stories and heartfelt memories reached the teachers to whom they were addressed, earning them applause in return.

Many renowned personas of Bangladesh, from different walks of life, have joined ClassTune’s cause of showing their gratitude towards their teachers and mentors who have had a deep impact on their lives. Politicians, media personalities, and entrepreneurs like Geeteara Safiya Chowdhury, Business Woman and former Advisor of Caretaker Government led by Fakhruddin Ahmed; Nasrul Hamid Bipu, Hon’ble State Minister, Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources; Zunaid Ahmed Palak MP, Hon’ble State Minister, ICT Division, Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology; Naimur Rahman Durjoy, Member of the Jatiya Sangsad and retired cricketer; Shykh Seraj, Media Personality and Agriculture Development Activist; Yasir Azman, CEO of Grameenphone Ltd.; Partha Barua, Musician; Sonia Bashir Kabir, the Founder of SBK Tech Ventures and SBK Foundation; Rubaba Dowla, Country Managing Director, Oracle; shared some of their favorite memories. They shed light about their personal memories of their teachers and mentors in both their educational and professional lives, who held a special place in their hearts.
