Staff Repoter :: Cox’s Bazar sea beach never experiences such a tourist less environment before the coronavirus pandemic. Hotel owners are counting losses by days to face the month-long shutdown. Many local boys who make their livelihood on beach photography, sailing, selling goods and surfing also become jobless due to the lack of tourists. Mr. Mahboob Rahman Ruhel, Managing Director (MD) of the five-star Sayeman Beach Resort in Cox’s Bazar, come forward to give a hand to these unemployed boys with love.

Though the hotel crowded with tourist all the time also suffered crisis for not getting tourists for Coronavirus crisis. Humanitarian leader Mr. Mahboob Rahman Ruhel provided essential food aid to the families of beach-based working-class boys on April 15, 2020. Low income people around the hotel also enlisted for this food assistance. Mr. Mahboob Rahman Ruhel, MD of Sayeman Beach Resort, said, that he will continue the humanitarian aid distribution programme as long as this situation will not improve.

A beach boy, who received the food assistance, saisd, in fearing of the corona, we have no work without counting the wave of the sea sitting on the beach. In this crisis, the food assistance from Mr. Rahman, the owner of this Sayeman Beach Resort, means as a great help to us. Meanwhile, due to the closure of hotel and restaurants and no tourists, the dogs and other creatures are also dying of starvation. On behalf of the MD of the hotel, Mr.

Pubudu Fernando, GM of Sayeman Beach Resort, regularly provides food to these hungry dogs of the beach. Mr. Ruhel is a beloved name among the local beach boys for his kindheartedness. Went for surfing, he mingles with others as an ordinary one. A few years back, he also offered a job to Jahid, who used to sing on the beach for livelihood, at Sayeman Beach Resort and admitted him to a local school. There are more than 300 hotels and 30 motels in Cox’s Bazar. If they do not stand beside the people belonging hotel businesses at this pandemic situation, when they will be?
