20th founding anniversary of JCI Dhaka East held

Staff Repoter :: The 20th founding anniversary of JCI Dhaka East was held with grandeur in the capital’s Gulshan Club on Friday 12th October 2018.
The event was held as a reunion of past and present JCI leaders and members to come together and celebrate the glorious journey of 20 years of creating positive impacts in the community.
The programme began with the General Assembly of JCI Dhaka East, the founding chapter of JCI Bangladesh. In the general assembly the new executive body was also declared and Asib Mustaba Akram was selected the President of the chapter for 2018/2019 term. He is the successor of Mahamud un Nabi, who will now be in the executive committee of the chapter as Immediate Past Local President.
Many dignataries of the society were present during the event including Waqar A Chowdhury, Founder President of JCI Dhaka East, Fayaz Atiqul Islam, National President of JCI Bangladesh, among other past presidents of the organisation, including Rumana Chowdhury, Eldem Faruqi, Saif Khandaker and others.
Waqar A Chowdhury delivered a speech and congratulated the new board of directors.
On the occasion Mahamud un Nabi Prince said “It’s been a great opportunity for me to lead this vibrant team. I have connected with people from different backgrounds and diverse professions, and together we have worked to impact the society positively.”
Asib Mustaba Akram said, “I have been bestowed with a big responsibility and I hope to do my part well.”
The programme also launched the 20 Year History Book, to lock the memories of the chapter and its past local presidents. A cultural programme also took place where a group of children from Aparajeyo Bangladesh, a Dhaka based safe home for girls, performed.
